This space was built for that reckoning. Ketamine-assisted psychotherapy, therapy intensives, and the Reset Series, all held by a small, specialized clinical team trained in the depth work that over-functioning, disconnection, and complex trauma actually require.
Founded by Samantha Tramuta, LCSW
Founder & Lead Clinician
Samantha Tramuta is the founder of Higher Ground and its lead clinician for couples therapy and ketamine-assisted psychotherapy. She created this practice to offer a different kind of clinical experience: rigorous and evidence-based, but also deeply human, unhurried, and attuned to the full picture of what a person is carrying.
Sam's work focuses on couples in disconnection, complex trauma, and psychedelic-assisted therapy. She trained extensively in attachment-based approaches, somatic therapy, and relational neuroscience, and she brings that synthesis to every client she works with.
The Westport location reflects her clinical philosophy: a space that feels as considered as the work itself.

Therapy for Individuals & Couples
For high-achieving and overfunctioning adults who have been holding everything together at a cost. For couples in disconnection, conflict, or crisis. For complex families and neurodivergent individuals navigating systems that were never built for how their minds work. Weekly sessions and 90-minute deep-work sessions available.
Ketamine Assisted Psychotherapy (KAP)
A clinically guided process using ketamine to open a neuroplastic window where therapeutic work can go deeper and change can consolidate more quickly. Includes preparation, a guided dosing session with a therapist and medical provider, and structured integration.
Family Systems & Therapy Intensives
Targeted, immersive work for families ready to interrupt reactive cycles, rebuild emotional safety, and restore clarity to the system as a whole. Intensives are available in one and two-day formats, held at the Westport studio, designed for moments when weekly sessions are not enough and the work cannot wait.
The Reset Series
Higher Ground's signature ketamine immersion program. Intimate, clinically led group sessions combining psychotherapy, IM ketamine, curated music, and somatic integration. Held at the Westport studio. Offered monthly, May through September. Intentionally small. Clinically serious.
